This was very early on in my woodworking and I think the first "furniture" piece I created. I built for a dear friend of mine who is probably the biggest MN Twins fan I know. I used ash for the majority of the field as many baseball bats are still made from ash. The dirt base paths and warning tracks is African Mahogany. I put the wood grain in the outfield in the same direction they mow the outfield at Target Field, where the Twins play. I finished the table with danish oil and then a few coats of poly.I learned a lot during this project and many things I'd do differently now, but it was fun and very personalized for my friend.

Table is made of African Mahogany and Ash. Legs are mini baseball bats purchased off eBay.
